D-Camp
Caledon conducts a D-Camp every July, usually either the first or second week, from Sunday to Thursday. This camp is open to all D’s of any age. The camp varies in length, but generally this is a 3 day, 3 night camp.
Parent volunteers plan the camp programs, hire instructors for one lesson each day (mornings) and one fun ride in the afternoon. Parents also take care of planning all the fun and educational activities and the meals. The camp costs are based on the projected budget, and any profit is put back into the club as a fundraiser.
We have also run a Polo Camp for our Senior members, who did not participate in D-Camp.
Many of our ponies and campers agree that this is the highlight of the year. In fact, many of the ponies are having their first sleep-over with their pony friends too!
