The Caledon Pony Club
Welcome to the Caledon Pony Club (CPC). The Caledon Pony Club is committed to fostering a love of horses and a goal of friendship, loyalty & sportsmanship among its members. Our Branch is a proud member of the Canadian Pony Club, within the Western Ontario Region. Our Branch colours are Royal Blue and White.
The Canadian Pony Club is an organization run by volunteers for young people up to 21 years of age who are interested in riding, learning about, and/or caring for horses or ponies. The Caledon Pony Club currently has members ranging in age from 7 to 18.
The Caledon Branch is located in the beautiful rolling hills of the Caledon, Ontario. While our members meet throughout the year for education, socials & competitions, from May through September we gather weekly to ride on the grounds of the 'Caledon Riding Club.' We are unique in our ability to host riding lessons on a weekly basis and included in our membership dues are the fees for these lessons.
The young members of our Club participate in a number of disciplines and activites throughout the year with their ponies and/or horses, including: Dressage, Show Jumping, Rally, Camps, Polo, Prince Philip Games (PPG), Tetrathlon (pony club's version of the modern pentathlon) and Riding to Hounds. During the 'off-season' (Oct. - April), we participate in a number of social and educational activities, and work towards improving our equine knowledge.
With our close association to both the Caledon Riding Club and the Eglinton Caledon Hunt Club, a relationship that has spanned 5o years, our members enjoy one of the most active and beautiful facilities in the Region. We are grateful for that association and thank the Caledon Riding Club for their support and the continued use of their facilities.
We invite you to contact us if you require further information, or take a closer look at our Club and see what we have to offer.
